Trusted Longevity
For nearly half a Century, Council on Aging has been the trusted source for the health & welfare for Seniors in Volusia County.

Because of the personal nature of many of our services, COA would not be able to survive if we were not a trusted source for services in Volusia County.

All of our employees are given a federal, state and local background check, insured and licensed (when applicable). We know exactly who is working for us and interacting with our clients. Trust is the bedrock of our mission at COA.
One-Stop Resource
Council on Aging is designed to provide a broad spectrum of health and welfare services to residents over the age of 60.

We are the administrator for Meals-On-Wheels, as well as local Senior Centers in Volusia County. COA handles Medicare, Medicaid and government grant services, as well as fee-for-service programs.

COA also provides relief for caregivers through our Respite Care programs for family members, caretakers and the loved ones of our clients.
About the Council on Aging
Council on Aging was established under the Older Americans Act by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services.  COA is a “Lead Agency”, designated by the State of Florida as a service agency directly tasked with the health & welfare of Senior Citizens.

For more than 45 years, COA has been the authority on Aging Services, and one of the largest service agencies in northeast Florida.  Thousands of clients are served every year, from our meals programs, to health services and Senior activities.

COA is a licensed 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.  In addition to government and pay services, COA raises funds through events and donations to better help serve clients who do not have the means to pay for care.
