Many seniors simply cannot afford or prepare sufficient food to meet their nutritional needs. COA can offer two options - Meals on Wheels delivery for homebound seniors or for those wanting to purchase a home delivered meal or lunch at one of our COA Neighborhood Dining Sites.
Meals on Wheels
Having a meal delivered by a trained volunteer to your homebound loved one can also be a "well being" check. Meals on Wheels Volunteers also bring with them a friendly smile that is often the highlight of their day!
As government funds are available, qualified seniors may be eligible for meal services at no charge or with a modest co-payment. To see if you or your loved one qualifies, please contact Customer Service at 386-253-4700 x 225 or by email.
Meals are also available for purchase on a private pay basis for either a short term assist for those recovering from an illness or surgery or for those needing a hot nutritious lunch but who are no longer able to cook for themselves. For instructions on Home Ordered Meals - click here.
Neighborhood Dining Sites
If you or your loved one is still mobile, we encourage you to join us for lunch at any of our seven Neighborhood Dining Sites. Seniors can enjoy a hot lunch in the company of others and spend time socializing, playing cards or bingo, or other such activities.
Our Neighborhood Dining Sites are open at 8 a.m. with lunch service at 11:30 a.m. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED so stop in and speak to our Neighborhood Dining Site Coordinator for more information on how to become a COA Diner.
