COUNCIL ON AGING OF VOLUSIA COUNTY OPENS DINING SITE IN DAYTONA BEACH – INVITATION TO RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY 7/27

On Thursday, July 27, 2023, Council on Aging of Volusia County (COA) will officially open its brand-new dining site for senior citizens (60+ years of age) at the Mickel A. Brown, Sr. Activity Center, located behind the John H. Dickerson Community Center, 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

 

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Everyone in the nearby community is welcome to join us for lunch and socializing.

 

The Daytona Beach Dining Site will be open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m.– 2:00 p.m., and will offer nutritious lunches, coffee and beverages, socializing, and vibrant activities.

 

This latest COA Senior Neighborhood Dining Site addition brings the total to eight locations throughout Volusia County.  Other dining sites that are currently serving seniors in our community are located in Ormond Beach, Holly Hill, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach. Orange City, DeLand, and Deltona.  In addition to these dining sites, there are also four Senior Activity Centers on site at the Ormond Beach, Orange City, Deltona, and New Smyrna Beach locations.
