COUNCIL ON AGING OF VOLUSIA COUNTY WELCOMES CHERYL SHAW AS DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

In November, Council on Aging of Volusia County (COA) welcomed Cheryl Shaw as the organization’s new Director of Human Resources. Ms. Shaw, who holds an MBA degree in Human Resource Management, comes to COA from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she served as Human Resources Manager. She has also served as Director-at-Large on the board of directors of the Florida Chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources Professionals (CUPA-HR) and as the Foundation and Community Philanthropy Chair of the Volusia/Flagler Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) board of directors.

Ms. Shaw began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later moved on to hospice home care before transitioning to Human Resources. She states, “I am extremely excited to be joining COA, as this is an opportunity which brings my two passions—Human Resources and the elderly—together.”

“We are thrilled to have Cheryl join us,” said Eveline Kraljic, COA’s Co-Executive Director, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources Director. “In addition to her many talents and skills, she brings to this essential role a commitment to team work and a love for serving seniors.”
