About COA

Council on Aging of Volusia County (COA), founded in 1967, is the only local non-profit focused exclusively on assisting the senior population, the fastest-growing age group in our area. We offer a range of services provided by caring, well-trained, and dedicated individuals screened through Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Level II National FBI background checks.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Council on Aging of Volusia County is to enrich the lives of our most vulnerable elderly citizens by providing needed services that enable them to remain safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes.

Awarded “Nonprofit of the Year” by the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2018, COA was also recognized by Daytona Beach News-Journal readers as “Best of the Best” for Adult/Elder Care Services for two years in a row, and awarded “One of the Top 10 Places to Work.”

COA is a member of the National Council on Aging Association and receives oversight by ElderSource (the Area Agency on Aging for Northeast Florida) and the Department of Elder Affairs.

We offer no-cost and low-cost services for those who qualify as well as private-pay services. Please call                          386-253-4700 x 225 for more information or email us at [email protected].
